ATTRACTIVE saleyard returns was behind the competitive bidding from clients at Englewood Park’s stud offering which reached the top price of $1300 several times during 38th annual production sale on Wednesday.
The ten Poll Dorset stud rams offered at the Inverleigh auction sold for an average $1185, with the top price of $1300 knocked down to return clients of 10 years Geoff and Di Notman, Mt Widderin Pastoral, Skipton and Turner Mahonga, Rand, NSW .
Earlier this month, the Notman’s topped the Ballarat saleyards with a heavy pen of Engelwood-blood lambs at $137. In the flock ram offering, 61 of 102 Poll Dorset rams sold to $1200, and av $866, and 17 of 21 White Suffolks offered sold to $825, av $735.
