Twelve months ago the annual Royal Melbourne Show packed the halls and pavilions of the showgrounds.
This year the show was cancelled, for just the third time since 1855, due to the impacts of the coronavirus.
To help remind the community and exhibitors of what they missed out on the gallery of photos from the pages of Stock & Land may help keep the passion alive.
The Royal Melbourne Show is also celebrating online this month, as it counts down to next year.
The 'Celebrating the Show Online' campaign is running online until September 29 through the Royal Melbourne Show social media and digital platforms.
It includes themed days, profiles of farmers and agricultural experts, live farm-cam, videos, competitions, memorable moments from past shows and more. See details at royalshow.com.au
Royal Melbourne Show is Victoria's largest and most iconic annual community event, attracting around 450,000 visitors over 11 days each year and contributing more than $244 million in value to Victoria's economy annually.
RASV executive officer Brad Jenkin said the show was a unique and valuable platform to promote and celebrate excellence in agriculture with thousands of agricultural exhibitors from rural and regional Victoria coming together at Melbourne Showgrounds.
"We thank the Victorian community for their support and look forward to bringing everyone together to celebrate the Royal Melbourne Show when it returns bigger and better in 2021 from Thursday September 23 to Sunday October 3, at Melbourne Showgrounds."
