Struggling to compete for milk in Australia, New Zealand dairy giant Fonterra has again shed local jobs.
It is understood transport was the hardest hit area but the losses, put at 30 by industry sources who preferred not to be named, came both from the Australian head office and the regions.

Responding to Stock & Land this morning, a Fonterra spokesperson said more information was yet to come.
"We are continually looking at ways we can improve performance, consolidate our operations, reduce complexity, and become more efficient," the spokesperson said.
"With this in mind, we have informed staff that we are making some changes to the structure of our business.
"The changes we're making allow us to run a resilient business that can continue to pay a competitive milk price and deliver sustainable returns.
"We'll be able to share more once any changes are finalised."
