Strong sale supporter Rodwells Mansfield agent Jamie Beckingsale and his buyers were a dominant forces securing six bulls for a $9500 average.
Leading the volume stakes was Tim Roberts-Thomson, Howquadale Station, Mansfield, Vic, who bought four of them to $8000, while PL & T O’Halloran purchased one at $9000.
Michael Hanlon, Howes Creek Station, Mansfield, Vic paid the sale’s second top price of $22,000 for Days Hemisphere M065.
The Injemira Anzac J188 son was a beautifully balanced bull with outstanding Breedplan data, including a Grassfed index of +161 – the highest in the catalogue.
The Witherow family, Shiloh Park, Mt Gambier and their manager John Richardson bought four bulls for a $10,000 average.
Three of these came from the Allendale offering, but their top buy, and the sale’s overall third top price of $20,000, was paid for Days Blaser M041.
M041 was another very impressive Injemira Anzac J188 son.
David and Susan Sleigh, Sleigh Pastoral, Ruffey, Vic, bought two outstanding bulls. They went to $13,000 for Allendale Anzac M001 and three lots later outlaid $17,000 for Days Hat Trick M047.
Harlock Pastoral, Bool Lagoon bought two Days prefix bulls for $15,000 and $11,000.
First-time buyers Max and Jan Randall, Lynwood Pastoral, Cobbadah Station, Cobbadah, NSW, along with their Landmark Tamworth agent Howard Carter, left their mark at the combined sale.
They bought three bulls for a $11,333 average, including Allendale Collingwood M012, the $18,000 top priced bull offered by Alastair and Jayne Day.
Cam Anderson and Sarah Harvey, Eringoarrah Station, Winderadeen Corporation, Wantabadgery, NSW, were a volume buyer. They bought nine bulls to a $12,000 top twice for a $8778 average.
Chris England and his son James, The Snuggery, Kingston pushed Days Homestead M033 to $18,000 for its length, balance and great calving ease figures. Senior Park, Bordertown, paid $16,000 for Days Benedict M099.
