Deniliquin’s Can Assist branch – a cancer support network – is one year old.
So far, the branch has provided financial assistance to 22 people within the Deniliquin community and they know there are many more needing their help, so they must continue their fundraising efforts, said branch co-ordinator Kellie Crossley.
“We are pleased to be back at the Deniliquin sheep sale on January 19,” Ms Crossley said. “This was our inaugural fundraising event last year, where our farmers kick started our fundraising efforts, by donating sheep sale proceeds back to our branch.”
This year, sellers or buyers are again encouraged to donate a sheep, or the value of a sheep back to their branch. Have a chat with your Stock Agent about the possibility of becoming involved.
