Euroa agents recently held their annual “Black Friday” calf and female sales.
Breeding and a very good season, in the North East, combined to produce two of the best yardings seen at Euroa.
Similar principles, and season will see further sales continue this excellent quality throughout the months of January, February, and March.
Wodonga agents lead off on Wednesday, January 3, and finish Thursday, January 18, with the beef female sale.
Wanagaratta follow in February, then Myrtleford in March. A week later sees the start of the muntain calf sales.
Potential buyers need to note, that the Wodonga sales will be stretched over three days, in the first two weeks, as Corcoran Parker have added a day for themselves.
Taking leave from combining with Elders and Landmark was due to the comfort of, primarily the animals, but also the agents to prepare, and the buyers.
Further south, and Yea agents hold their annual calf sales, and in all, potential buyers can choose from up to 25,000 cattle over a short few weeks.
Yea sales clash with Wodonga, but competition varies across the different venues. While Gippsland buyers heavily support the Yea sales, few make it further north to Wodonga.
Wodonga, Wangaratta, and Myrtleford, are well covered by locals, those from further north and west, and depending on a northern season, buyers from there too.ands out
While speculation remains about competition form the north, one thing stands out. Throughout all of the North East, the exceptional season will guarantee quality yardings across all venues of Wodonga, Wangaratta, Yea and Myrtleford.
