A two year-old first-calf heifer exhibited by Roly Park Lassie won the Beef Shorthorn supreme exhibit.
Bred and shown by Scott Bruton, Roly Park, Lake Boga, she was sired by Spencer Family Archer and out of Roly Park Jessie.
Judge Nic Job, Royalla Shorthorn stud, Yeoval, NSW, said the 24 month-old cow was doing a tremendous job with her “a good, sappy calf”.
“She’s very deep, she’s feminine, she strides out, and she’s got a beautiful udder,” he said.
“I cannot go past the completeness in her.”
For supreme it beat 15 month-old bull, Spencer Family Moses. This bull weighed 780kg and 110sqcm in the EMA. It was exhibited by the Spencer Family, Yuroke.
