Bendigo livestock identity Rob Bolton will at the end of the month step back from his high-profiled Rodwells livestock manager position to seek a more low-key consultancy role within the livestock services industry.
Aged 66 and having served 10 years in his current role, Mr Bolton was acknowledged for his contribution to ALPA and its Young Auctioneers Competition on Sunday evening.
Starting with Dalgety NZL at Ballarat in 1969, Mr Bolton rose through the ranks to become an extremely component auctioneer before moving into managerial roles with Landmark and then Rodwells/Ruralco.
“After 49 years it’s time for me to enjoy the rest of my time in the industry, without the pressures at the top” Mr Bolton told Stock & Land.
