The 25mm of rain for Murray View, Swan Hill, has given wool producer Simon Ettershank a “springboard into spring”.
Mr Ettershank said falls of up to 30mm had been recorded, throughout the district. ”It’s certainly picked things up a bit. Feed was drying off and the crops were starting to get a bit thirsty, so it’s given us some hope going into spring.
“It’s a springboard into spring. We weren’t desperate, but you could see things were starting to turn.”
