CONTRACTS have been exchanged on Hassad Australia’s major Cunnamulla pastoral operation Clover Downs.
The 125,293 hectare (309,606 acre) aggregation is located in South West Queensland’s iconic salad bowl region and is estimated to run 64,000 dse or the cattle equivalent.
The aggregation had been offered through an expressions of interest process, which ended in June. Clover Downs is described as “under offer” on the Colliers International website.
The sale price has not been disclosed. However, it understood the large scale operation is under contract for the equivalent of about $86/acre. At that rate the sale price is equal to about $26.6 million or $415/dse.
The buyer is understood to be an established farming family from Coonamble, NSW.
Clover Downs is described as having exceptional Infrastructure including multiple flowing artesian bores with large network of poly pipe ,tanks, troughs and bore drains. The property is divided into 75 main paddocks and 21 holding paddocks and is protected with exclusion fencing.
The Sydney headquartered Hassad Australia is an agricultural land company is a subsidiary of Hassad Food, an investment arm of the Qatar Investment Authority. Hassad owns 13 other agricultural aggregations in NSW, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.
