Dormers Australia: Cameron MacPherson and team run Dormers Australia, Rosemere SAMM and Cazna Park Poll Dorset studs at Junee, NSW. They came acorss the Dormers, a stablised breed in South Africa, by accident, when a Poll Dorset ram got out and mated with some SAMM ewes. The progeny from the cross won the Dubbo Hoof and Hook competition.  

There is a pen of F1s in the background, and the breeidng program again made a team that performed "exceptionally well" at Dubbo and Mr MacPherson said the team would have won if one of the three didn't die at the works.

Cameron MacPherson said they set up a TePari sheep handler in the shed and weighed a few rams.  We had one ram lamb, with lamb’s teeth, weigh in at 114kg.

The team, and some visitors at Kurrawarra Pastoral, Wantabadgery, NSW. Leo and Vanessa Herbert started using Focus Genetics' Highlander and FocusPrime combination, bred in New Zealand, in their commercial operation. They were so impressed by the impact the genetics had on their operation that two years ago, they became breeders for Focus Genetics.

Karrawarra: Leo Herbert braved the rain at Karrawarra Pastoral, Wantabadgery, NSW, with 11 month-old Highlander ewe lambs.

Lambpro: Tom Bull said Lambpro, Holbrook NSW, had evolved to be a prime lamb seedstock business that produces Poll Dorset, Tradie and Primeline maternal rams. He said while they have different breeding objectives for each breed, it was backed up by performance data and their popularity is growing - the team now joined 5100 recorded ewes each year.

Kardinia: Don Mills at Kardinia Dohne stud, Coreen NSW. Some of the traits Dohnes are renowned for were on didplay at Sheep Week, including fertility and ease of lambing, with a number of lambs being born during the open day.

Lauridale: With his dad Max away Mark Treweek ably hosted visitors to Lauridale White Suffolk stud.

DELL: At Dell African Dumisa, they breeds Dorpers and White Dorpers. Principal Andrea Van Niekerk and her dog Zara welcomed plenty of visitors to her property. Including Renee, Tom, Harry, Richard and Ollie Bull from Deniliquin, NSW.

Womboota: Womboota Border Leicester principal Malcolm Staritt with clients Yvonne and Barry Crotty from Mulwala.

Aloeburn: Aloeburn Poll Merinos principals Jodie and Andrew Green.

Riverina Merinos: A wealth of industry knowledge captured at Riverina Merinos Sheep Week open day at Jerilderie, Ross Wells, Willandra, Pat Brown, Pooginook, Michelle Humpheries, Livestock Breeding Services, Steve Chalmers, Landmark Merino Specialist, John Sutherland, Pooginook, Michael Gregory, Livestock Breeders Services.
