4.32pm: A new record has been set for the Toomba Horse Sale, with the top price of $34,000!
Five year old mare, Frankfield Calesi, topped this year’s sale beating last year’s record of $33,000.
Calesi was sold to Noel and Dallas Daley from Willford Station, Willows. They purchased the stock horse to start building their team of competitive campdraft horses after a few year’s break.

4.29pm: That’s a wrap for another year.
4.25pm: Three year old mare, Nibbereena Good Choice, made $17,000 on behalf of Figtree Cattle Company, Collinsville.
4.05pm: Eight year old gelding, Miss Moya, sold on account of the Wilkinson Family Trust, Clermont, to Johnson Pastoral at Mt Pleasant, Hughenden for $12,500.
4pm: Lisco Stylish Diamond on account of Northern Rural Contraction, Majors Creek, sold to Gus Carter for $10,000.
3.10pm: Jayee Maricopa sold on behalf of Que Hornery, River Lea, Comet for $13,000 to McMillan Pastoral Company, Cloncurry.
3.pm: Riverview Cattle Co, Clermont, purchased three geldings in a row: Must Be Hector for $2500, Huonfels Onyx for $7500 and Nibbereena AB for $8000.
2.30pm: Three year old gelding El Pascol Arizona sold on account of QLD Agriculture Training Colleges, Longreach to RL Cox and Co for $11,000.
2pm: The sale continues and the bidding is heating up. We are currently up to the second round of ridden geldings with 30 lots to go.
1pm: Philip and Tania Curr from Arizona Station, Julia Creek purchased 18 month old filly, Nibbereena Martina for $9000.
12.30pm: A LED colt, Halls Sorio, was sold on behalf of Ben and Jay Hall, Bibil, Muttaburra to Fred and Carmel Sheppard, Cloncurry for $10,000
LED one year old colt, Rhondhu Oaks Shiner, sold to the MIddleton Family from Hughenden for $6000.
12.20pm: Twohill family trust, Nibbereena, Clermont has sold Nat King Coals (sire is Pink Panther) to Essjay Performance Horses for $6000
12.15pm: In the LED geldings Limehills Duke has sold for $4000 to N & D Butcher, Prairie.
12noon: The LED fillies have started with 18 month old Mt Oweenee Mimco currently topping at $3500 sold to T & C Walker, Clermont.
11.45am: The first stallion of the sale, three and a half year old Rhondhu Smart As Hell has been passed in for $32,000.
11.25am: Top priced gelding is 12 year old Aussie Affair sold on behalf of Gary Masters, Cooinda, Alpha. It was sold to Shanara Paton, Nebo for $15,500.
10.50am: Four year old gelding, Stelmo Lyric, has also sold for $9000 to Everingham Pastoral Company for $9000.
10.40am: Top priced gelding is Estrellaita Winsome sold on account of Clare McNeven, Valwin Station, Julia Creek to Paradise Downs for $9000.
10.30am: First section of the ridden geldings have started with two and a half year old Kurdaitcha selling to Philip and Tania Curr from Arizona Station, Julia Creek for $7500.
10am: The new top priced mare is five year old Frankfield Calesi that sold to Dallas Daley for $34,000.
9.50am: Benburra, Gracemere, purchased two and a half year old filly Rhondhu Tequila Duck for $11,500.
9.40am: Two and a half year old Sophia Jill is the top priced ridden filly selling to Peter and Maree Balmain from Julia Creek for $20,000.
9.30am: The Toomba Horse Sale has started at the Dalrymple Equestrian Centre and there is a big crowd of interested buyers.
The sale today (Sunday May 28) includes 134 horses with 51 ridden mares and fillies, 51 ridden geldings, three ridden stallions and 29 LED prospects.
