A LARGE crowd of agtech enthusiasts attended a SproutX event last week, which aimed to inspire individuals to “build an agtech rocket”.
Agriculture minister Jaala Pulford opened proceedings, telling the crowd how important agtechs are to the agricultural community.
SproutX general manager Sam Threthewey then conducted a Q&A with The Yield founder Ros Harvey.
The Yield is working with high value producers of oysters and bagged lettuce in Tasmania, monitoring their micro-climates to determine inputs or management practices.
Ms Harvey offered advice to people who may have been looking to join the agtech world.
