The annual chance for the country to shine in the city kicks off this week with gates for the Sydney Royal Show officially opening to the public today.
Thursday’s highlights include the open and school steer competition, sheep judging and Australian Livestock and Property Agents Association (ALPA) Young Auctioneers Competition.
For those who can’t make it to the Sydney Royal don’t think you have to miss out on seeing some of the action.
The Land has partnered with Wild Colt Productions, Buladelah, to host a webcast of the Young Auctioneers Competition.
From noon today anybody with internet access is able to watch the action live.

The live action will kick off with the NSW state final competition – the winner of which will compete in the national final next year.
Then we get into the national finalists.
The competitors are:

- Jack Hickey, 23, J.M. Ellis and Company, Hamilton
The Land will also live stream the Limousin feature breed judging (Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8), The Land Sydney Royal Showgirls and Rural Achievers presentation (Sunday, April 9) and the coveted Sydney Royal interbreed judging (Monday, April 10).
