A PARTNERSHIP between two major agribusinesses has resulted in more than $100,000 raised for local sick and disadvantaged children.
Stoll Boomsprays donated a boomspray, which was sold through farm machinery provider Ramsey Bros, with the proceeds going to Variety – the Children’s Charity of SA.
Kelly and Jarrod Stoll said the donation was a chance to show their appreciation for the state’s farming families that have supported their business, while the partnership also helped Ramsey Bros further their association with the charity.
Somewhat fittingly, the sprayer’s buyer was Mallala farmer Jim Franks, who has been on the Variety 4WD Challenge event 16 times and the Variety Bash five times.
“It definitely was a persuading factor to buy the sprayer, knowing the money was going to such a worthy cause,” Mr Franks said.
Money from the sale will be used to help children who are sick, financially or geographically-disadvantaged or have special needs, many from regional areas.
