Victorian young auctioneer hopefuls Toby Newnham and Jack Hickey will head to the Royal Easter Show in Sydney next week to do battle in the national championships.
Both won the honour to represent the state after being placed winner and runner-up respectively in the Victorian-leg of competition at the Royal Melbourne Show back in September.
Since their respective victories each has shown excellent form, Toby selling store sheep and cattle throughout the Riverina and Swan Hill with Elders while Jack who was originally with Elders but is now at JM Ellis & Co at the Hamilton weaner sales.
Both are exceptionally well coached, Toby by Dick Douglas and Jack by his father Allan both VSAA auctioneer joint winners in the late 1990s.
