The Katunga Water Supply Protection Area (WSPA) draft amended Groundwater Management Plan is now open for comment.
The Katunga Consultative Committee looked at proposals to improve the plan. The plan covers the extraction and use of deep groundwater, found deeper than 25metres from the surface.
Committee chair Natalie Akers said the main changes related to trading, allocations and monitoring arrangements.
