Brendan Flynn, BC&GC Flynn, Ensay, will be offering 210 Angus steer and heifer calves in the Elders Black Cattle sale at Omeo, Tuesday, March 14.
April-May drop, Innesdale, Sharanda and Alpine blood is their breeding, and they have had 2x5-in-1 vaccinations, and drenched with Dectemex in November.
Weaned in early January, and run on a separate farm, these steers and heifers will suit many buyers for growth and future potential.
Brendan proudly mustered his steers and heifers for inspection, prior to the annual Black Cattle sale. During the weaning process, Brendan has Anapro at the will of the cattle, which has given them a nice shiny coat, and aided their weight gain.
Brendan has given his calves his best care and attention, to give potential buyers there best chance of fattening the cattle inside of twelve months. The photo shows some cattle still with their hairy coats, which gives some indication of the cooler summer conditions apparent in the mountains.
