Competing across a 1400-head penning, feeder, processor and restocker buyers from South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania and NSW supported the market as wet weather moved in to damp down conditions.

A market top of $1517 a head was paid on the opening yard of the sale. The pen of 11 Roan baldies, offered on account of Joyce Usher and Noel Baulch of Heywood, was weighed at 441kg and sold to Teys Charlton Feedlot on a bid of 344c/kg.

Other heavy pen of steers weighed at above 400kg made 340-362c/kg while steers weighed above 360c/kg made to 377c/kg realizing up $1430 a head.

Lighter 280-360kg steers, which were five cents easier mostly made 365-407c/kg with an increased proportion sold between $1130- $1230.
