THE Lancefield Brahmans sale was held at Gracemere on Monday , with a 100 per cent clearance, gross of $1,033,000 and an impressive average of $10,989.
It was Palmal Dimension 6976 who topped the sale at $50,000, selling to Scott and Geoff Angel, Glengarry Brahmans, Kunwarara.
The 786kg powerhouse bull impressed with an EMA of 143sq cm and a scrotal circumference of 39cm.
Second-top priced bull was Lancefield M Bontoft 4710/M, who sold for $45,000 to Hacon and sons, Grenada, Cloncurry. Bontoft boasted an impressive weight of 840kg at 24-months-of-age, an EMA of 148sq cm and a scrotal circumference of 41cm.
The volume buyer of the sale was Colin Brett, Waterloo Station, Katherine, NT, who bought eight lots for an average of $3,437 and a gross of $27,500.
Jeff Hyden, Mount Pleasant, Rolleston, went home with six bulls in tow, grossing $32,000 for an average of $5333.
Also buying big was John Dyer and family, Hayfield Station, Dunmarra, NT, who bought five bulls for an average of $7500 and a gross of $37,500.
Also with five bulls was Johnson Pastoral, Ormonde, Hughenden, who grossed $24,000 for an average of $4800.
Other significant purchasers included Ron Kirk, Yenda Brahman Stud, Gayndah, who paid $36,000 for Lancefield M Barcoo 4725/M, the Bartolo family, Carrinya Pastoral, Nebo, who purchased Palmal Duckworth 6927 for $36,000, the White family, Anglewood, Marlborough, who paid $32,000 for Palmal Discovery 6796, Boogal Cattle Company, Grant and Jo Bulmer, Mountana, Kyogle, NSW who paid $28,000 for Lancefield S Lawton 5185/1, and Boogaloopal, Eidsvold, who purchased 2AM Eli 5313M for $26,000
