STOCK & Land has won big at this year’s annual Australian Community Media (ACM) Awards.
Jennifer Chen, who does livestock sales and administration for Stock & Land, was voted winner of the Rising Star award.
Ms Chen, who has only worked for the company for seven months, was selected out of a wide pool of staff from 150 regional, agricultural and specialist publications across Australia.
Ms Chen said she was surprised, yet very pleased with the win.
“I’m very honored, and thankful for this recognition,” Ms Chen said.
“I’ve loved my time here at Stock & Land, it’s been a really fulfilling experience.”

Ms Chen previously worked as a vegetable agronomist in Werribee South, and wanted to explore different aspects of the agricultural industry.
“I’ve really enjoyed learning about and being able to contribute to the media side of agriculture,” she said.
Ms Chen was also selected as a finalist for the Sales Support Award.
Stock & Land sales manager Bob Aitken said it was a very deserving win.
“Having worked at Stock & Land for just seven months, Jennifer has had a huge impact on our business,” Mr Aitken said.
“She provides great support to our most important customer base, and the entire sales and editorial team.”
He said the win is an incredible achievement, particularly given Ms Chen is only new to the team.
“We are very proud of Jennifer’s achievement, and look forward to her career developing at ACM,” he said.
Stock & Land’s Merino Yearbook, which was published in June 2016, was also awarded Best Customer Solution.
The Merino Yearbook was published with the support of the Victorian Stud Merino Sheep Breeders Association, and was distributed across Victoria and southern New South Wales.
The awards were held at Canberra’s National Convention Centre.
