Conditions were damp underfoot and overcast, but the crowd on the first day of the annual Henty Machinery Field Days was in line with expectations, but perhaps a little higher as many attended on the first day because rain was predicted for days two and three.
Primary producers were all enthusiastic coming off the back of a fantastically wet winter and the promise of a wet spring leading to a good harvest for those who haven’t lost crops due to water lodging.
Many exhibitors reported keen interest in the various displays, varying from machinery, dog trials, livestock and household and agronomic plots.
