An inaugural WestVic dairy event hopes to inspire young dairy farmers in the south-west.
This year’s Milk it 4 More will feature a variety of presentations from industry experts about innovation in dairy.
Young Dairy Network coordinator Madeleine Francis said the event – organised by a committee of young farmers – was a great opportunity to network, upskill and learn about developments in the dairy industry.
“Milk it 4 More provides farmers and the wider dairy industry with an opportunity to hear the latest research and developments in the dairy sector,” she said.
“Young farmers can connect with the industry… and network with their older counterparts.”
The event will also incorporate WestVic Dairy’s annual general meeting and the launch of the 2015/16 Dairy Farm Monitor Data.
Milk it 4 More will be held at the Camperdown Football Netball Club on Wednesday, September 21 from 10am, concluding with an evening meal and presentations by John Hauser from XCheque and Dairy Australia managing director Ian Halliday.
