It’s been a long time in between drinks, literally, but creeks and rivers in the Wimmera are running naturally once again after heavy rainfall in catchments in the southern Wimmera and Grampians regions over the past week.
Harrow, on the Glenelg River, received over 75mm from Thursday, while most of the Wimmera south of Horsham received 35mm or more.
It has seen seasonal creeks running and swamps filling, some for the first time since the 2010-11 floods.
