Jim Hiscock, along with his wife, Carmen, have made a decision based on their children’s education, and Jim has taken a position with Brian Unthank Rural, Wodonga, starting last Monday.
Jim and Carmen have three children with the eldest, Zara, nearing secondary school. Jim has shifted to Albury, with Carmen, Zara, Adelaide & Harry, shifting shortly.
Some may say Jim has had a checkered career, but this move brings him almost back to his roots. Jim was brought up at Ensay, and started his career with Dalgetys at nearby Swifts Creek.
Jim brings with him a broad knowledge of livestock, and districts, having worked from the high country, to South Gippsland, Wagga, Grafton, Dubbo, and for Phillip Black Auctioneers at Longreach, where he met Carmen.
For the past 9 years, Jim has worked with AJF O’Brien at Coonamble, and is now looking forward to working the broader regions of Albury/Wodonga.
Jim is happy to continue an association with another family owned agency, bringing with him experience and old contacts, and will expand the area of concentration for BUR Livestock.
Jim was up on the fence, Thursday, selling some of the quality steers and heifers offered by his new employees.
Michael & Gerard Unthank, and Gerard Ryan wish to welcome Jim to team BUR Livestock.
