Widespread rain across south western areas of the state reigned in stronger demand for the Ballarat store cattle sale on Friday where a small-ish penning of 1900 head was assembled.
An eager gallery of lot feeder buyers and restockers provided sustained bidding throughout the rain soaked market especially on better presented lines of younger, yearling-off and weaner cattle which saw only a handful of lots sold below $1000 a head.
