Frustrated dairy farmers voiced their concerns for the future of the dairy industry at a meeting on Tuesday night.
United Dairyfarmers of Victoria president Adam Jenkins said the meeting was an opportunity to raise concerns and “put everything on the table”.
“We all want a higher price,” he said. “We’re looking at putting solutions on the table to move forward.”
Wannon MP Dan Tehan and representatives from Dairy Australia were joined by more than 100 dairy farmers at Camperdown Football Club.
Simple access to concessional loans, protection against further clawbacks and future pricing transparency were issues stirring passionate responses throughout the talks.
