A Telstra spokesman has told landholders it’s their responsibility to ensure they avoid cutting communications cables. Cottles Bridge landholder Dr Dennis McCurdy has called for Telstra communications cabling to be clearly marked on property sale documents.
But Telstra spokesman James Kelly said property owners should know where key infrastructure might be buried and should call ‘dial before you dig”. “Cable cuts cause enormous cost to our business and inconvenience customers,” he said.
