Australian Meat Group’s managing director Gilbert Cabral said AMG aimed to process the broadest range of product as possible. This will depend on customer requirements but it is envisaged they will be able to purchase and process all livestock types from bulls and cows through to yearling and grain-fed beef.
“We have confidence in our sale team to achieve this variety,” Mr Cabral said.
“The plant has been built to US and EU standards and once these accreditations are in place it will provide customers with the confidence that we can buy, process and deliver a broad range of products to their specification.”
Mr Cabral said while they were entering the beef processing industry as a new start-up company during a period of beef herd contraction he said they would compete aggressive for the pool of stock against other processors, and were sound in the knowledge in their investment they have the most efficient, technology-advanced processing and delivery operation available.
