HER udder placement, mothering ability and correctness "got it right" in judge Duncan Newcomen's eyes, entitling Eselar Park Ministers Honour F173 the supreme Shorthorn exhibit.
The four-year-old senior champion cow was exhibited by Krystelle and Keith Ridley, Nero stud, Condobolin, NSW.
She was sired by Waukaru Prime Minister and out of Eselar Park Y2K Honour X062.
Ms Ridley said the cow's sire were of older bloodlines that produced solid cows with longevity.
"She is a cow that will last in the herd," she said. "She is so sound and her mother was still in the herd as an 11-year-old."
The stud has high hopes for Ministers Honour's heifer calf at-foot, which they plan to return to the showring as a lead exhibit next year.
Her previous progeny has been a force in the stud with Eselar Park XLT Horizon being used as yearling bull before it was sold at the Dubbo National as a two-year-old.
Nero stud had further success with their impressive two-year-old bull, Eselar Park State Hierarchy H204, who won senior champion bull before taking out the grand title.
It was a parade State Heirarchy was used to after joining his mother, Eselar Park Lock Honour, as the bull calf at-foot at the Sydney Royal last year where she was awarded champion Shorthorn female.
The impressive sire has a future at Nero, according to Ms Ridley, who said they had been so proud of the 968kg bull with an eye muscle area of 137 square centimetres that they plan to retain him in the stud herd.
Their wins helped them to secure the most successful exhibitor in the breed.
Females presented by Finley High School, Finley, NSW, were of Mr Newcomen's standard and resulted in two broadribbon wins – junior champion heifer for Finley High School Josie and reserve senior champion female for Yarram Virginia H27.
