Adam Bryant and Leearna Cook placed first and second in the Learner Shearer competition at Bendigo on Saturday.
Adam Bryant of Central Highlands Tasmania has won the Learner Shearer event at the Australian Sheep & Wool Show.
In second place was Leearna Cook of Baddaginnie in Victoria.
They competed against five other learner shearers on Saturday.
Leearna was the only woman competing.
Adam has been shearing for only a few months and follows in his father's footsteps onto the shearing board.
Other competition on Saturday included the intermediate and senior heats.
