MELBOURNE based photographer, Kristian Laemmle-Ruff launches his first book ‘In the Folds of Hills’ Thursday as part of the Headon Photo Festival 2014.
Set in the secluded valleys of the Lima area in Victoria, the book and accompanying exhibition, explores the wisdom and rich humanity found in the characters living and working on the land.
It includes a foreword by former Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser which said it captured Australian rural life, “which in many parts of this country are fast disappearing”.
The book includes stories by Charlotte Laemmle and essay by photographer and writer Robert McFarlane.
