Donated by Rodwells & Co and WISS Woolbrokers, the bale proceeds went to Epilepsy Foundation of Victoria.
The bale was sold on "Purple Day" – a fundraiser for the foundation.
Rodwells wool manager Michael de Kleuver said they were keen to support a cause that affected so many Australians.
The cause was also chosen in support of Paul Ferranato, a local processor who's son has epilepsy.
The 19.6-micron, 180-kilogram bale – measuring 94 millimetres and 35 newtons a kilotex – was purchased by Modiano Australia director Lou Morsch.
