MANY of the cattle at today’s Wodonga store sale were consigned from northern regions including the Riverina, NSW, with one draft coming from as far as Queensland.
Agents penned 3120 head all up, with the yarding comprising mostly plain condition cattle.
However, steer fared well, with prices making from $500 to $800 a head.
There was a few well-bred and good-conditioned steers offered, which realised 195-220 cents a kilogram.
Heifers returned $350-$675, with better-bred heifers from 168-185c/kg.
Cows and calves topped at $1310.
Livestock Shipping Services were active again, along with local buyers, but there was limited feedlot competition.
