QUALITY bulls sold to $9000 and averaged $4448 during the Webb Black Simmental and SimAngus annual auction at Glenburn today (Friday).
Sons of Upgrade U8676 sold attracted the most interest, including Webb Upgrade H617, who received the sale top price of $9000.
He was bought by Geoffrey Urquhart, Banana, central Queensland, who also bought Webb Dew It Right H622 at $3000.
He will use the bulls over his Red Brahman and Droughtmaster herd, as an experimental cross, attracted to the look and temperament of the bulls.
The second highest price at $8500 was paid for Webb Captain H608, purchased by Boorook Morven Pastoral Company, Morven NSW.
They also bought lot 2 - Webb Upgrade H0611 - at $5000, with both to be used in their Red Angus herd, to produce black calves.
