BUYING was strong at the Paringa bull sale on Tuesday, with Tom and Olivia Lawson selling 54 of 60 Charolais and Stabilizer bulls offered.
The top price was a solid $8500 for outstanding Charolais bull Paringa Doc Silver H338, while the average was very positive with the 37 of the 40 Charolais bulls av $4055.
Paringa Doc Silver H338 sold to King Island producer Robbie Payne and was a product of NWMSU Doc Silver 362 PLD M669488 and Paringa Bluegrass D140.
Mr Payne picked up three bulls av $5167.
Other major buyers of Charolais bulls included Lyndavale who bought seven bulls av $3000 and Glenshiel Pastoral Company who bought four bulls av $3875.
One of the real surprises of the sale was the success of the Stabilizer bulls, which sold to $4000, av $3264, for the 19 of 21 bulls sold.
