THE Wagga Wagga prime sheep market struggled to gain momentum again this week, with new season lambs the only category selling to steady demand.
New season lambs 20-24kg sold $3 lower and made from $118-$136 av 540c/kg cwt.
There was only one pen of extra heavy suckers and they made $140.
The better finished old trade lambs wee $7-$8 cheaper selling from $88-$133 av 504c/kg.
Throughout the sale there were plenty of longer-wool trade lambs av 450c/kg cwt.
Heavy and extra heavy lambs $6 lower and they made from $129-$164, av 494c/kg cwt.
Light lambs to the processors were hard to sell and they fell $20-$25, making from $34-$74.
