Organisers hailed the inaugural Gippsland Limousin female production sale held at Pakenham on Friday a success, and told Stock & Land it would become an annual event.
All lots were sold and stock travelled to their new homes as far afield at Scone, NSW.
There was a large number of buyers from across Victoria and interstate, with competitive bidding for the heifers, cows and calves and embryos put up by nine vendors.
John and Damian Britt, Lillico Glen Limousin Stud, Warragul paid top price of $4500 for a cowand calf. Vendor was Gavan Budge, Limousdale, Yallourn North.
All lots were sold, with three bulk buyers including the Britt family, Clyde's Frank Sofra and noted West Gippsland breeders Bernie and Lyall Seebeck.
