THE early market draw for Leongatha Wednesday (2900 bullocks, 700 trade cattle, 1100 cows and 65 bulls drawn) led to an unprecedented decision by the Victorian Livestock Exchange to split the sale over two days.
The cows and bulls will be sold tomorrow (Thursday).
And today numbers were withdrawn down to 2700 head, with mostly bullocks sold.

Landmark auctioneer Terry Ginnane said the best quality bullocks were firm, lighter bullocks selling to 218.6c/kg, but crossbred and secondary types 3-8c/kg easier.
Mr Ginnane did say Friesian bullocks mostly sold well at unchanged rates.
VLE CEO Wayne Osborne said the cow sale would commence at 11am tomorrow to allow for buyers travelling from the Warragul sale.
