Buyers at the Ballarat store cattle sale on Friday.
GROWN steer prices lifted 10 cents a kilogram liveweight and weaner steer values by an average of 20c/kg at the Landmark Ballarat annual cattle sale on Friday.
Increased support for the 3600 yarded cattle came from Gippsland bullock finishers and lot feeders, plus the inclusion of a live export order for Russia which flowed through to a stronger heifer demand which also averaged 10c/kg lwt dearer.
