EAST Trentham Poll Dorset stud, Derrynock, has had its best sale ever with a total clearance and a top price of $14,000.
The top price ram was purchased by South Australian stud breeder Robert and Lachlan Hart, Two Wells Poll Dorsets, Glen Devon.
Mr Hart said it was a clear standout with excellent performance figures and was well worth the eight hour drive across the border.
Derrynock stud principal Simon Beattie said the sale with 133 Poll Dorset rams, 20 Poll Dorset ewes and 35 Meat Maternal rams was an excellent result and showed their focus on performance figures was paying off.
