NO stranger to the show ring, PC Miss Pendelton has triumphed again, being sashed supreme Angus at the Royal Melbourne Show - just 12 months after winning junior champion interbreed heifer at the same event.
The 2.5-year-old cow returned to Melbourne with an impressive six-month old heifer calf-at-foot, to sweep all before her as the stand out animal.
Judge Krystelle Ridley, Condobolin, NSW, said the cow was doing an outstanding job on her calf with a neat functional udder.
Greg and Sharon Fuller’s Pine Creek Angus, Bylong, NSW, also won grand champion bull with PC Ambassador F211, before going on to be sashed most successful exhibitors.
In a turning of the tables, both PC Miss Pendelton and PC Ambassador were sashed grand champion female and bull respectively at the recent Brisbane Ekka, with Ambassador being named supreme at that outing.
Ambassador was sired by St Pauls Ambassador, out of St Pauls Laura’s Lead, and weighed 1322 kilograms with an eye muscle area (EMA) of 155 square centimetres.
