THE significant lift in prices at Bowmont Herefords 14th on property bull sale was attributed to improved market confidence and saw prices peak at $14,000 and average $5200.
The bull average was more than $1000 up on 2014 prices, which stud principal Sam King said was due to long-term positive outlook for producers as "cattle and livestock industry played into our hands".
Thirty-five registered buyers from South Australia, Victoria and NSW helped clear 38 of the 44 bulls offered.
Ian Bjorksten, Wandong Herefords, Dubbo, NSW, paid the sale top price of $14,000 for two year-old Bowmont Victory Blend J.
