THE Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) will award one young dairy participant with a $10,000 travel bursary through the 2015 Dairy Youth Handlers’ Travel Scholarship.
Entries are now open. This life-changing scholarship will provide the recipient with the chance to travel to emerging dairy regions in South-East Asia, including Indonesia and Vietnam.
The winner will also have the opportunity to visit retail markets in Singapore and gain valuable insights into the region’s growing agricultural and food industries.
The $10,000 bursary will cover all flights, internal transfers, meals, accommodation, insurance, visas, passport costs and travel for a parent or guardian if the winner is under 18.
To be eligible for this opportunity, you must be aged between 15 to 21.
The entry process consists of three parts, including submission of a completed essay (no more than 1000 words); an interview process (conducted on September 23); and participation in the Dairy Youth Handlers Classic (September 24) at the 2015 Royal Melbourne Show.
The recipient will need to be available to travel for approximately two weeks to South-East Asia within nine months of being awarded the scholarship.
Applications close on August 7, 2015.
