There will 100 Santa bulls, eight Sangus bulls, 10 Santa stud pregnancy-tested in-calf (PTIC) females and 230 commercial PTIC females auctioned at the Yulgilbar Santa Gertrudis annual production sale at Broadwater Yards, Baryulgil, NSW next Friday (September 5) from noon.
Some of the best industry genetics will go under the hammer from a herd that continues to dominate steer and carcase competitions, including eight consecutive National Santa Gertrudis trophies at Brisbane and Sydney Royal Shows, the National Steer Trial at Orange and the Primex Beef Carcase Competition at Casino.
General manager Rob Sinnamon said buyers would benefit from Yulgilbar Santa bulls with the constitution and doing ability bred in tough coastal conditions.
Yulgilbar Santa Stud is No 13 in the Santa Gertrudis Breeders Association register, the third oldest still operating in Australia and the biggest in NSW.
