PRAISED as a magnificent beast, a two-year-old bull from Pine Creek Angus stud at Woodstock, NSW, has been crowned the Supreme Interbreed Beef Breed exhibit at the Royal Melbourne Show today.
The 1060 kilogram bull, Pine Creek Kodiak, won the prestigious title over the 19 breeds represented.
Shown by the Fuller family, the champion has continued an exceptional show season after winning supreme beef cattle exhibit at the Royal Adelaide Show earlier this month.
The bull recorded an eye muscle area of 128 square centimetres and fat cover of 21 millimetres rump and 14mm rib fat.

“He’s a complete package,” Naracoorte judge Andy Withers said. “He has great shape, balance and absolutely perfect set of legs.”
Mr Withers said PC Kodiak ticked all the boxes in terms of his muscle pattern, fat cover and “magnificent” structural soundness.
He is the son of Canadian-bred bull, HF Kodiak, in which Pine Creek owns the Australian and New Zealand marketing rights.
Junior Interbreed Beef Breed Bull was awarded to 16 month-old bull, Tondara Clines Vendetta J303, from Tondara Hereford stud, Urana, NSW.
The young bull weighed 940kg and had an EMA 120sqcm.
“He has got sire written all over him,” Naracoorte judge Richard Miller said.
The Bolton Girls of Congupna had a brilliant performance with their 3.5-year-old cow, Bolton Girls Whisper-Gucci, who had two commended bull calves at-foot.
Supreme Junior Beef Breed was awarded to Myers Lady In Red, a 15-month-old heifer, exhibited by Scott Myers and Samantha Beresford of Myers Limousins, Moss Vale, NSW.
During the event, judge Stephen Branson, Banquet Angus, Mortlake, said she was “accurate in the way she move, had a long, strong spine and held her head well”.
