A WAUBRA farmer is about to become one of Australia’s most eligible bachelors, as the new series of Farmer Wants a Wife goes to air tonight.

Farmer Matt will embark on a journey to find love and happiness as a group of city women come to his farm and put him through his paces.

The 26-year-old farmer told The Courier he never dreamed his search for a wife would be televised around Australia, but couldn’t say no when he was nominated by a friend.

The WIN Television show features six farmers all searching for their soul mate – overcoming the divides of city and country.
