The Australian dairy industry has until next Friday (August 1) to enter the 2014 Royal Melbourne Dairy Show, on from September 14 to 16 at Melbourne Showgrounds.
The judges for this year’s show include David Stalker from New Zealand judging the Holsteins, Darrin Grevett from Queensland judging the Jerseys and Keith Dorries, also from Queensland, judging the Interbreed.
Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) chief executive Mark O’Sullivan said the Royal Melbourne Dairy Show would bring together industry leaders for the spring’s premier dairy event.
“This year’s expert judges are likely to be a drawcard for breeders and we encourage past and new exhibitors to take part,” Mr O’Sullivan said.
Now in its fifth year, the Royal Melbourne Dairy Show provides breeders with an opportunity to promote their discipline, benchmark their studs, gain feedback from industry experts and socialise with fellow breeders.
Entries close on Friday, August 1. Exhibitors that enter online at www.rasv.com.au/dairy will receive a 10 per cent discount on entry fees.
