DAVID Kennedy was awarded his fourth Professional Bull Riders Australia (PBR) title on Saturday night at Allphones Arena in Sydney.
The 29 year-old becomes the first bull rider in PBR Australia history to claim four titles.
Kennedy who hails from Kyogle NSW, was locked in a fierce battle with Justin Paton but in the end a low 67 point ride and the decision to turn down a re-ride was all that was required as Paton did not make his 8 second attempt.
A little like the V8 Supercar series, points are accrued during the PBR Australia season that saw Kennedy claim the title but it was Joe Polkinghorne that won the event average on Saturday night riding all three of his bulls.
Lachlan Richardson also had a strong finals series and rode the previously unridden bull Suicidal for 91 points.
