THE 'Women In Food and Agriculture Lunch' is set to be held on September 25 in Melbourne - and will feature a diverse range of panelists, linked by their love of food and agriculture.
Now in its second year at the Royal Melbourne Show, the event is presented by the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) and is a celebration of the role women play in the food and agricultural industry.
This year’s lunch will see respected ABC journalist, Virginia Trioli host proceedings as MC, as the panel of five outstanding women tackle the question ‘How do women in agriculture influence the demand for local produce?’.
Panellists Amy Fay, Program Development Manager, Dairy Australia, Tammi Jonas, from free range rare-breed pig farm Jonai Farms, Liz Davenport, WA-based fashion designer, Sue Neales, Rural Reporter for The Australian and Phillippa Grogan, Phillippa’s founder, will bring a wealth of knowledge as they share their thoughts on the topic from their own personal and professional experiences.
An interactive discussion following the presentation provides the audience an opportunity to ask questions of the panel as part of the lunch experience.
The event provides a unique opportunity for women in the food and agricultural industry to network, discuss the issues and opportunities that they face and hear the stories of other women from within their sector.
Guests will also be treated to an inspired three-course menu from acclaimed Melbourne chef, Philippa Sibley, with the menu showcasing the finest local produce from Victorian female producers.
With tickets now available, women interested in attending are encouraged to book early for this popular event.
